Better known as World Refugee Day, Liberty in North Korea created a week long campaign to celebrate North Korean refugees and to raise money to help more refugees reach freedom. Throughout this week, LiNK encouraged their donors to make a difference in the midst of international political talks. The goal for the week was to raise $40,000 to help more North Korean refugees reach freedom through LiNK's rescue route.

The campaign itself was heavily email and social media based, along with partnering with local businesses in Los Angeles and Long Beach to spread the word and fundraise for refugee rescues.

Local coffee shops and restaurants were able to play a role in World Refugee Week by donating all proceeds to LiNK when their customers purchased coffee tokens or a specific food item. Postcards, flyers, and wooden tokens were printed for all participating businesses.
